Premium paper and board producers Tullis Russell is employee-owned; as such it has a strong sense of the value of partnership and sustainability.
Tullis Russell seek to spark creative conversations about paper at every level. In association with the newly opened Tullis Russell Environmental Education Centre (TREE) planned to get local children involved in thinking about paper, creativity and the environment.
The Paper Angels project involved creating over 20 angels in Trucard 0 matt cartonboard. Constructed as fully de-mountable three dimensional paper sculptures standing a metre high, they were designed to allow young people to ‘finish’ them with recycled materials to win a prize. Later, as beautiful objects in their own right, the Paper Angels were also circulated to owner-employees and, through social media, far beyond.
“We love our angel!”
